I’m Rian, together with my mom (+ her recipe book), we strive to make people smile with our delicious desserts.
Believe it or not, there was an upside to Covid. While doors were literally closing all around me, including the restaurant chain I had called home for 14 years, I finally had time to invest in the simple things that make life so full + full of joy—the principle that would eventually become foundation of everything we do and create at Sea Salt.
I followed in my family's footsteps and moved to Idaho for a slower pace of life. It was there that I began making small batch ice cream in my garage. I fell in love with the process, the science, and the never-ending creativity that is ice cream.
As a regional chef with years of experience and a love of everything my mom baked (and cooked in general), I knew that together we could create a space where memories are made because of our skills, and the love we have behind what we do. For us, knowing we’re the bright spot in someone’s day is worth everything.
